           Does the College offer scholarships for +2 students?

Trinity offers wide-ranging scholarships both at the time of admission based on SLC results, Trinity Entrance Test, and individual achievements or need and subsequently during the session depending on academic performance to outstanding and deserving students.

When does admission to the College open?

Admission to Trinity opens the day the SLC results are published.

 

What is the procedure for admission?

Admission to Trinity International College is given only to eligible post-SLC/equivalent level students on the basis of an entrance test followed by a personal interview.

 

When will the Entrance Test be held?

The exact dates are notified soon after the publication of the SLC results.

Why should I study +2?

+2s facilitate admission to a good college or university anywhere. They also provide students with a positive educational experience that equips them for further study or employment. They are an appropriate option post-SLC.

 

What is the examination system of the HSEB +2?

The annual examinations Grades XI and XII are normally held in the months of Baishakh-Jestha.

 

What about the scope of the +2?

Is the +2 course recognized internationally?

Yes, it is.

 

How does the +2 help me to get college or university admission here or abroad?

Internationals A Levels

 

Why are International A Levels?

International A Levels are a University of Cambridge qualification taken after Grade 10 or O Levels. They refer to the General Certificate of Education (GCE) under the supervision of University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). They normally take two years to complete.

 

What do the term AS and A2 or A Level mean?

AS stands for Advanced Subsidiary Level, which is the first year, and A2 for A Level, which is the final year.

 

What are the basic qualifications for joining A Levels?

To study A Levels a student must have completed SLC or an equivalent examination.

Can I appear in the A Level exam at the end of the first year?

Only for the AS Level at the end of the first year; for the A2 Level at the end of the second year.

 

How many times are A Level exams conducted every year?

CIE conducts A Level exams twice a year (after every six months) i.e. May/June session and October/November session.

 

Who conducts the A Level exams in Nepal?

A Levels exams here are conducted by CIE under the supervision of the British Council, Nepal.

 

How long does it take for the result to be out?

The results of the May/June and the October/November exams come out in the following August and January respectively.

 

Is credit transfer possible?

Yes, credits of AS Level / A Levels are transferred to some Colleges/Universities abroad.

 

How does A Level help me to get college or university admission?

An increasing number of institutions in Nepal and around the world conduct their own scholastic assessments and, increasingly, admission is getting related to students’ performance in such tests plus their A Level grades.

 

Are A Levels only for those who want to go abroad for studies?

No!

 

Will my qualification help me to undergo higher education in Nepal?

Yes, A Level graduates can pursue higher education in Nepal or any other country of their choice.

 

Can A Level students successfully compete in entrance exams such as medical and engineering in Nepal?

Yes, you can compete in MBBS and Engineering Entrance examinations but you should have the required subject combinations. A Levels students are competitive enough to succeed in these exams.

 

How many subjects are required to continue Bachelor’s Level study in Nepal?

At least three A Level subjects along with GP at AS Level are required.

 

What are the criteria for entry to overseas universities?

This varies from country to country and from institution to institution. Generally, in the UK three A-Level subjects are required.

 

What about the scope of A Levels?

Known as the gold standard, A Levels have a wide scope in all academic fields with ample opportunities around the globe. The A Level certificate awarded by the University of Cambridge is the gateway to entry to almost all the colleges or universities of the world.

Every year, educational experts from CIE come to Nepal to verify whether the GCE Colleges have maintained the specified standards or not. Furthermore, our teachers are trained through CIE online training facilities using the CIE teacher support site and courses at the British Council.
